Add some sparkle to your mid-winter by joining the locals for their annual snow festival. Winterfest celebrates all things winter on and off the mountain. Jam-packed with events and activities for all ages it’ll be more fun than you can handle.

🎮 LeadCON – a weekend where nerds of all kinds can unite! Whether you’re into gaming, cosplay, collectible cards, pop culture, tattoos, or just love the world of fandom, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

🎲 Throughout the weekend, attendees can explore vendor booths, check out artists and creators, participate in live panels, and show off their creativity in the cosplay contest. There will also be opportunities to play games, meet fellow fans, and experience a little bit of everything from the worlds of comics, fantasy, sci-fi, and beyond.

4th of July and surrounding days

This festival celebrates our iconic golden history of mining, and our amazing community. Join us for the best fireworks show in the Black Hills over the impressive Open Cut with amazing echoes and booms. Enjoy vendors, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, music, food, history and mining talks and events and the small town charm of Historic Main Street!

Annually, the Thursday before Labor Day

Get ready for a golf tournament like no other! Our annual tournament throws the rulebook out the window with hilarious hole games, unexpected challenges, and plenty of chances to win fun prizes along the way. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just in it for the laughs, this is all about having a great time on the course. Grab your team, bring your sense of humor, and get ready for a day of golf that’s anything but typical! ⛳😄

Start your holiday gift shopping off by shopping local. Receive a punch on a punch card whenever you spend $10 at local businesses. Enter a full punch card for awesome prizes from local businesses.

In honor of the age-old tradition of driving around simply to look at lights, we encourage residents to decorate their exteriors. Decorations are judged based on brightness, festivity, creativity, neatness, & overall.
