Lead Weekly May 11th – May 17th 2022

Hello Everyone,

Thomas Grier Day is this Saturday along with Arts and Antiques Row “Second Saturday”. This is looking to be a great weekend to get out and help us beautify this wonderful town that we call home. There will be Open Container on Main St. and the businesses will be open. Events will start at 9am. Following is a schedule;

9-11:30am: Beautify Lead with a trash pick-up* – Rendezvous at the HOH Patio.

10am-12pm: Tours of Historic Main St. places with Terry Smith to Speak at Thomas Grier

Statute

12pm: Appreciation Lunch & Cake @ Episcopal Church

12:15pm-3:45pm: Presenters on Older Home Preservation at the Homestake Opera

House -JR Hamblet, Lynn Namminga, Dale Thomason

4pm-5:30pm: Presentation and Tour of the Cotton House by David Gackle

5 -7pm: Homestake Opera House, open house – free!

All Day – Visit Thomas Grier’s grave, West Lead Cemetery

All Day – Second Saturday “Arts & Antiques Row” – Lead Main St. – Open Container

**11am – 8pm: Lemonade stands set up around town managed by local youth**

____ News & Notes

Boys & Girls Club of the Black Hills will be closed May 16th-20th. To register for their summer programing, stop by and see Danielle. Also, the BGC will offer transportation for kiddos to and from rehearsals of the Lion King Production at the Homestake Opera House.

2022-2023 Lead Magazines are now available for pick up or distribution.
