Do You Hear It?

Good Morning Loyal Readers!

Do you hear that? … Listen closely! … It’s very faint, but there’s a strange noise coming from the horizon… the rumble of a tidal wave!

While last year was hard to predict, we ended up with incredible numbers of people coming to visit our great state from all over the country! This year all the indicators point to last year’s numbers getting blown out of the water! Are you ready?

We are super excited to be working on ways to better engage with our visitors this summer and are looking forward to welcoming our guests! Several people who live in the adjacent areas have told me that they get so confused when driving through Lead. They’re so anxious about our narrow streets that they struggle to know where to go or what to do! And these people aren’t completely new to the Black Hills! When you try to see Lead through the eyes of a visitor, it can definitely be daunting. Our hope is that our budding tourism office – Visit Lead – can solve some of these problems, engage with the tourists and better serve our members and our community!

We’re still working on the details but stay tuned for more info soon! Questions? Ideas? Want to join Visit Lead and be part of this new thing? Call us!
