News & Notes From Around Lead

Good Morning!

My niece and nephew are here visiting while my brother is furloughed. It’s so great to see them, an unexpected high note from this rough year. They came and helped Lead Beautification plant flowers on Tuesday with me. My nephew asked who we were doing this for, and I explained it was just something our town does every year and that we are helping the whole town look extra pretty for summer. He was amazed, “We don’t do this in the big city where I live,” he said.

How nice it is to live in our wonderful community, and how extra nice that we have such beautiful flowers all over town. We had a great turn out of volunteers this year, and I am so grateful for each of you – as is the Lead Beautification group! Thanks for making Lead MILES BEYOND ORDINARY!
